Description

*Glock 26 Gen4 9mm Automatic Pistol. Made in Austria*

Serial number TXB155 Stamped on the barrel, the slide and underneath the barrel. Matching serial number on Glock branded box. The 3 letters on the barrel ‘PWK’ represent the barrel test fire date code: Aug 2012.

Glock Ges.m.b.H. produces polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, locked-breech semi-automatic pistols. These pistols gained prominence due to their exceptional reliability and safety. The GLOCK 26 Gen4, chambered in 9 mm Luger, is a highly sought-after concealed carry pistol renowned for its accuracy and standard 10-round magazine capacity. It’s the preferred backup choice for security personnel and agencies globally.

In 1980, the Austrian Armed Forces announced that it would seek tenders for a new, modern duty pistol to replace their World War II–era Walther P38 handguns. Gaston Glock, founder and head engineer of Glock Ges.m.b.H., an Austrian manufacturer, became aware of the Austrian Army’s planned procurement and although they had no experience with firearms design or manufacture in 1982, assembled a team of Europe’s leading handgun experts from military, police, and civilian sport-shooting circles to define the most desirable characteristics in a combat pistol. Within three months, Glock had developed a working prototype that combined proven mechanisms and traits from previous pistol designs. In addition, the plan was to make extensive use of synthetic materials and modern manufacturing technologies, which led to the Glock 17 becoming a cost-effective candidate. The handgun was adopted into service with the Austrian military and law enforcement in 1982 as the Pistole 80 (P80), with an initial order for 25,000 guns.

In 2010, Glock introduced the “fourth generation” or “Gen4” pistols, focusing on ergonomic improvements and updates to the recoil spring assembly. The subcompact variant, the GLOCK 26 Gen4, was introduced in late 2010.

*Condition*
The Glock 26Gen4 is in excellent used condition. Deactivated. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
