Description

For sale is a German 1917 dated Sawback Cutaway M1898/05 Bayonet. This design does not have the saw-back blade as it was factory removed after 1917 because its dislike by the British and the French.  The edge is marked the imperial proof mark. The ricasso is stamped ‘Walter & Co. Muhlhausenir Thr’. The pommel also bears the Kaiser’s mark.

*Condition*

The blade is excellent with minimal signs of age. The wooden grip has the expected signs of use. The scabbard has some minor dents.
