~ Late Victorian Silk Work Of Royal Navy Battleships ~
The nostalgic piece has a central screen printed silk panel of a row of late 19th century battleships, in a silver wire bullion frame. Below is a padded silk life ring, to the sides four silk embroidered flags with Queen Victoria’s crown above topped by “Dieu Et Mon Droit” (meaning “God and my right”, the motto of the British monarch).

The piece is in excellent order though the colours have faded a bit.

The panel is 50 cm (20 inches) wide by 48 cm (19 inches) tall.
