The sword is ‘US’, ‘AHC’ (for the manufacturer Ames Manufacturing Co.) and is dated for 1863. It was used by the Union (Northern) forces.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 87 cm (34.5 inches) in total length with a 89 cm (35 inches) blade.
