~ Oil On Canvas Painting Of A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress ~
A nice oil on canvas painting of a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC).
The painting depicts the Flying Fortress in chocks on an airbase with two nissen huts and another small building in the background.
The view of the plane is from the perspective of someone standing alongside it at close range and only shows the front half of the plane.
The painting is well executed with some nice details.
The piece is not signed and the only clue to the paintings age is the stamp on the reverse with the canvas manufacturers details ‘GRANGE, Cotton canvas, Made by Daller Board Co. Ltd 78/79’.
The painting is unframed.

It weighs 500g.
