Royal Doulton Character Jug “Sairey Gamp” D5451
A large Royal Doulton character jug designed by Leslie Harradine and Harry Fenton, for the Charles Dickens’ Characters series issued between 1935 – 1986.
Sairey Gamp was a character from Charles Dickens’ 1843 novel, “Martin Chuzzlewit” the character is portrayed as a gossiping, gin-drinking midwife and nurse!
