~ Royal Doulton Slaters Tobacco Jar With Applique Decoration ~
This is a lovely jar with subtle shades of brown, blue and cream. There are two panels of applied foliage scrolls. Above and below are more geometric bands in a light blue. The lid is pleasing to the eye too.
The underside is back stamped for Royal Doulton, the potters mark is, I believe, EW for Onslow E Whiting.
~ Condition ~
There are several small chips to the underside of the lid and the tips of the floral sprays.
~ Dimensions ~
The jar is 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall with a maximum diameter of 11 cm (4.25 inches). It weighs 0.63 Kg.
