~ Small c1947 Battle Of Britain Class Spitfire Locomotive Bronze Name Plate ~
The period plaque in bronze has raised letters and the border, with a red painted finish. There are mounting holes to each of the four corners.
The SR Battle of Britain Class No. 21C166 “Spitfire” was a 4-6-2 “Pacific” type steam locomotive designed by Oliver Bulleid and built by the Brighton Railway Works in September 1947.
