~ The Royal Family Sterling Silver Ltd Ed Cameo Collection by John Pinches in Original Case c1972 ~
A superb quality limited edition set of sterling silver medallion cameos of the Royal family issued in 1972 by the famous medallists John Pinches of London.
The set comprises of six medallions each bearing the face in profile of a member of the Royal Family: Queen Elizabeth II, The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, Prince Charles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Each medallion is hallmarked for sterling silver, London with the makers stamp ‘JP’ for John Pinches.
Five are dated for 1972 whilst the Queen is dated for 1971.
The set comes in a fitted leatherette case with velvet interior.
The centre board can be removed and has a stand to the reverse for display purposes.
The front of the case has two brass-like plaques reading ‘The Royal Family Cameo Collection, A limited Edition by John Pinches Medalists Ltd’ and the other reads ‘The Collection of William Charnock’.
The set comes with the original purchase stub dated for 1972 and a colour pamphlet on the Royal family.

Each medallion measure 3.9cm by 5.1cm and weighs between 42g – 45g.
The case measures 19.5cm (7 ¾ inches) by 28cm (11 inches).
The cased set weighs 960g.

The set in is great condition. The medallions are clean and damage free and the case is in very good order.
