~ W.L. Wyllie Signed Lithographic Print – Battleships At Portsmouth Harbour At Night 1920 ~
A signed lithographic print (not an etching) after an original painting by the noted maritime artist W.L. Wyllie.
The subject is of Portsmouth harbour at night with Old Portsmouth to the left. A stream of ships are entering the harbour, lead by a battleship. Many of these vessels are boldly illuminated by searchlights both from the shore and also the Solent sea forts.
The print was published on May the 15th, 1920 by Robert Dunthorne of Vigo Street, London. The printers were Emery Walker, PH,sc.
The print is signed by the artist in pencil in the bottom left corner.
The print is mounted and framed, but the frame is not glazed

The Frame measures 22 inches (56cm) by 32 inches (81cm). The print measures 12 inches (30.5cm) by 22 inches (56cm). It weighs 1.6Kg.
~ Condition ~
The print is in quite nice condition. There is a little discolouration and foxing but this is mainly to the edge of the print. There are a few minor chips to the frame.
