~ WW1 Medal Trio Plus RHS Medal – 18553 Pte G.A Howells, Royal Berkshire Regiment ~
A First World War medal trio awarded to Private G.A. Howells of the Royal Berkshire Regiment along with a Royal Horticultural Society
medal, a lovely addition which gives a glimpse of the private life of Mr Howells.
The medal set consists of The 1914-1915 Star, The British War Medal and The Victory Medal.
The medals are all on their original ribbons and are all inscribed ‘18553 PTE G.A. HOWELLS, R. BERKS. R’.
Included with the set is a silver medal from the Royal Horticultural Society which was awarded to Mr Howells in 1930.
The medal features an image of the Roman Goddesses Pomona (goddess of fruitful abundance ) and Flora (goddess of flowers) to
the obverse with a wreath and inscription to the reverse reading ‘Awarded To Mr G.A. Howells, Speen Show 1930’.

The medals and ribbons are all in a decent order with only light wear associated with age.
