~ WW2 HMS Dunedin Bronze Ships Crest – Tompian Mounted 1918 Light Crusier ~
This is an original piece. It is a circular bronze crest and depicts a bulls head in the centre of some wheat crops. The crest is wooden mounted.
This would have been mounted on one of the 3 inch AA guns.
~ HMS Dunedin ~
HMS Dunedin was a Danae-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy. She was launched 19th November 1918 and commissioned 13th September 1919. Early in the Second World War, Dunedin was involved in the hunt for German battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau after the sinking of the armed merchant cruiser Rawalpindi. She was sunk by two torpedoes from the German Submarine U-124 on 24th November 1941.

The crest has a diameter of 3.5 inches (8.7 cm) and the plaque has a diameter of 5 inches (12.7 cm).
