~ WW1 Medal Set Awarded To 1546 Pte H. Brown Notts & Derby Regt ~
A First World War medal set awarded to 1546 Private H. Brown of the Notts & Derby Regt (The Military Medal is has H. Brown as 123228 of the 16th Machine Gun Corps).
The medal set consists of: The Military Medal, The 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
The Military medal is engraved to the edge ‘123228Pte H. Brown. 16/M.G.C.’
The other three medals are engraved ‘1546 Pte. H. Brown. Notts & Derby .R.’.
The medals are all on ribbons and mounted on a pin clasp bar.
The set comes in a modern jewellery style box with a piece of card with the details of the recipient including a note that seems to indicate that H.Brown was mentioned (in dispatches?) in the London Gazette on 29th Aug 1918.
We do not have the issue or any kind of copy of the Gazette.

The medals are of the standard size.
The set (unboxed) weighs 150g.
~ Condition ~
The medals are in a very nice condition with only light wear. The ribbons and mounting are modern.
