In the Egyptian mythology the water buffalo is an emanation of the cow goddess Hathor.
Hathor is an Ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of joy, feminine love, and motherhood. Hathor is commonly depicted as a cow goddess with horns in which is set a sun disk with Uraeus.
Our figurine is made of bronze and depicts the buffalo standing on a two level pedestal.
The horns are not present, being lost over the time.

The figurine is 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) wide, 2 inches (5 cm) tall and 1.7 cm deep.
~ Condition ~
The figurine is in good condition for its age, most of the original details on it being still visible.
