~ 19th Century J.W. Hawksley Copper & Brass Powder Flask ~
A mid-19th century brass J. & J.W. Hawksley of Sheffield powder flask with 4 settings (3, 2 ¾, 2 ½, 2 ¼ drams).
Its elaborately shaped copper body has embossed ribbon and medallion decoration to both sides. A makers mark sits on top by the nozzle brass & steel.
It has an internal opening regulator.
~ Dimensions ~
The flask has a length of 8 inches (20.3 cm), a depth of 3.5 inches (8.8 cm) and a height of 1 inch (2.5 cm). It weighs 227 g.
~ Condition ~
The body has a couple of very small dings but no major dents. An excellent example.
