A collection of six volumes of “The Naval History of Great Britain” by William James. The books, published in 1837, are a review of the Naval history of Great Britain, from the declaration of war by France in 1793, to the accession of George IV. These books have a signature in the inner cover by Sampson Harman, dated 1896.
They were published by Richard Bentley of London.
The books are in dark blue calf, gilt and red morocco bindings to the spine and corners with hand marbled card covers, page edges and inner flyers.
