A great vintage ‘Automobile Club of Philadelphia’ AAA license car badge.
The piece is of a pierced silvered brass plate with a tin backing atop a chromed metal bracket.
The badge is pierced with the lettering ‘AAA’ (American Automobile Association).
Above and below this reads ‘The Automobile Club of Philadelphia’. The badge is also stamped with ‘P.M.F.’ (Pennsylvania Motor Federation).

The badge measures 4 ¾ inches (12cm) by 3 ½ inches (9cm). Together with bracket the piece measures 7 inches (18cm) long. It weighs
~ Condition ~
The item is in quite good condition. The silvering is slightly worn and the bracket has some rust. The backing plate has split. The backing plate should be painted black so as to highlight the lettering but sadly has lost most of the paint.
