~ John Milton (1608 – 1674) ~
John Milton (1608 – 1674) was an English poet, polemicist, a scholarly man of letters, and a civil servant for the Commonwealth of England under Oliver Cromwell. He wrote at a time of religious flux and political upheaval, and is best known for his epic poem Paradise Lost. Henry Charles Beeching (1859 – 1919) was an English clergyman, author and poet.

There is some wear to the edges and a full length split to the spine. The pages remain in good condition apart from a few which have foxing.
