Most of these were dismantled at the end of the war.
The rifle is stamped with ‘Crown over GR ENF LD 1907 SHT LE III”. It is also broad arrow stamped with the serial number of 6579 and AJP (Purdey) stamps.
The scope is stamped “Aldis Brothers, Birmingham, No66737, 1915”. The Purdey rail is dated 1916.
The rifle is fitted with a magazine cutoff.
The rifle comes with its deactivation certificate dated 20/07/1994.

The rifle has an overall length of 44.5 inches (113cm), with the barrel measuring 25 inches (64cm) long. It weighs 4.61kg.
~ Condition ~
Aside from some minor age wear, the rifle is in an overall good condition. The body has some slight scratching, but shows no sign of chipping or damage. The metal has some wear, but has no pitting or rust.
The optics of the sight are clean and clear.
It cocks and dry fires.
