For sale is a really good example of a M1A1 Thompson sub-machine gun with an extra magazine and cover. The M1A1 was standardized in October 1942 as the United States Submachine Gun. Importantly for the war effort the M1A1 could be produced in half the time of the M1928A1 and at a much lower cost. The main difference between the M1 and M1A1 was the bolt. Serial number is 94897 and comes with an old spec deactivation certificate. This gun cocks, dry fires, and is fully strippable. The later canvas cover is numbered D50268.
