A nice old - “ACME Regd” Harking Horn/Beaters Horn/Boating Horn, these horns by ACME (Joseph Hudson &Co) are used by hunters, beaters and boaters, made in two sizes - 6 inch and 11 inch, this one being the larger 11 inch (29.5cm).

J Hudson & Co was founded in the 1870s in Birmingham by Joseph Hudson (1848–1930) and his brother James Hudson (1850–1889). The company became a manufacturer of whistles and continues as Acme Whistles. They used the brand name The Acme from 1886 and just ACME from 1927.

This was reputedly found by a trawler and bears signs of verdigras and general aging. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
