~ Large Moorcroft Orchid Pattern Planter ~
A lovely large planter in the Orchid pattern by Walter Moorcroft.
The vase has a large wide rim which tapers down slightly to the base.
It has tube line decoration of orchid flowers hand painted in rich glazed tones of yellows, whites, purples and dusky pink on a midnight blue ground
which follows on to the inside of the planter.
The base is impressed with ‘Moorcroft, Made in England’ and has Walter Moorcrofts initials handwritten in blue ink upon. It also has the royal warrant
paper label.
~ Dimensions ~
The vase has a height of 22cm (8 ¾ inches) with a diameter to the top of 24cm (9 ½ inches).
It weighs 2.29Kg.
~ Condition ~
The vase is in a really nice condition and has no major damages. The royal warrant paper label is in a poor condition with only the edge visible.
