~ 30th Lancers Chain Mail Epaulettes ~
A pair of chain mail epaulettes belonging to a member of the 30th lancers.
The chain mail epaulettes are shaped in an arrow formation. Towards the tip is a cap badge that reads “30 L”. One of the epaulettes has two cap badges.
Known as Gordon’s Horse, the regiment was 1826 raised by Capt Sir John Gordon as the 4th Regiment, Nizam’s Cavalry 1826 & in 1921 amalgamated with the 26th King George’s Own Light Cavalry, to form 8th King George’s Own Light Cavalry
