An original British Army style Corporal’s sleeve rank chevron, dating from the post-war period, also commonly encountered in Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Army Cadet Force (ACF), and training establishment uniforms. This is the classic two-bar downward-pointing cloth insignia, worked in white cotton embroidery onto khaki/olive drab wool backing, designed for wear on battledress, service dress, or cadet uniform blouses.
The badge features two neatly machine-embroidered white chevrons in the traditional inverted “V” formation, signifying the rank of Corporal in British Army and cadet service use. The white-on-khaki construction is particularly associated with training units, cadet forces, and service dress applications rather than wartime field issue, where khaki or coloured worsted examples are more often encountered.
