~ Chinese Han Dynasty Twin Dragon Jade Bi Disc ~
This is a beautiful example of an archaic deep celadon and chocolate brown jade bi disc, a carved flat disc with a hole in the middle.
This piece has two sides of decoration. The front is of two beautifully carved raised winding dragons twirling around the edge. The rear side is made of a pattern of small raised bumps.
~ Dimensions ~
The disk has a diameter of 1.9 inches (4.9 cm), a depth of 0.3 inches (1 cm). It weighs 41 g.
~ Condition ~
The disc is in fine order. There are a couple of ancient flea bite chips to the upper edge. Most areas are quite rounded from centuries of prior handling.
