~ 14ct Yellow Mexican Gold Amethyst Ring UK Size P US 7 ½ ~
A beautiful and stylish ring of 14ct Mexican yellow gold set with a good sized oval-cut amethyst.
The amethyst is claw mounted to the centre of the ring on a deep crown like setting.
The ring has an elegant and unusual design. The band, rather than attaching to both sides of the setting instead to one side sweeps around and over the setting, framing the stone.
The band is plain except for where it sweeps round the setting where there is some cross hatch decoration along the inner edge.
The ring is marked ‘Mexico’ to the outer edge of the band (to the reverse) and is stamped for 14ct gold to the inside of the band.
~ Dimensions ~
The amethyst measures 9mm x 12mm.
The ring is approximately (due to the design it is difficult to size the ring) a UK size P which is a US size 7 ½ (17.75mm inner diameter).
It weighs 5.8g.
~ Condition ~
The amethyst has a few light scratches and a tiny flea bite chip to the edge but still presents very well.
The ring is otherwise in a lovely condition with minimal wear.
