The 1770s light dragoon’s flintlock pistol, bearing original unit markings, is an exquisite embodiment of 18th-century military craftsmanship.  This pistol would have been an essential companion to a light dragoon, offering swift and accurate firepower on horseback. It serves as a captivating portal into an era of cavalry prowess and military transition, encapsulating the spirit of the times in both form and function. The markings “R5F23” appear on the butt. This gun cocks and dry-fires.

~Condition~

This flintlock is in great condition with some light, general wear. It retains a great finish with some light pitting. The lock plate is possibly a replacement. Please see pictures for more detail.
