The figurine depicts a pastoral gentleman dressed in a white long coat, waistcoat and plain hat sloped at a jaunty angle, petting his Spaniel dog.
The gentleman’s face is glazed with a rosey complexion and has gilt edging to his clothing.
He is leaning against a tree stump with applied bocage and is standing on a green and brown grassy pasture.
~ Dimensions ~
The figurine has a height of 9 inches (22.8 cm), a width of 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) & a depth of 3 inches (7.6 cm). It weighs 540 g.
~ Condition ~
The bocage is very decent with minimal loss. The gilding is generally complete with the odd area of wear. The piece is free from cracks and restoration, there is a chip to the back of the hats brim. There are areas of loss to the coloured glaze, concentrated on the base.
Some minor wearing to the face, and some glazing wear but the piece remains in otherwise vibrant & good order.
