The serial numbers of the revolvers indicate that both were manufactured in the year 1900.
The pieces can be sold as a set with their respective box or separate. Please enquire for more information.
The large revolver is a Colt model 1892 New Army DA 41. As the name suggests it is a .41 Cal version, a very rare and highly collectible piece.
The piece comes with a set of six cartridges.
The top of the barrel is stamped with the Colt patent and the left side of the frame bears the colt logo.
Serial number 159679 is stamped on the metal frame of the grip.
Both grips bear the Colt logo.
The cylinder catch, the cylinder hinge and the inner cylinder frame are serial-numbered 194. The difference in serial numbers comes from the different models of cylinders used on the same gun (1892, 1894, 1895, 1896, 1901 & 1903).
The smaller 1896 Colt New Police revolver chambered in the obsolete long .32 colt cartridge also comes with a set of inert 6 cartridges.
The top of the barrel is stamped with the Colt patent and the left side of the frame bears the colt logo.
The left side of the barrel is marked “Colt New Police 32”.
Ejecting the cylinder both the serial number on the frame and the on the cylinder’s hinge are revealed. They are matching and read 8870.

~ 1896 Colt New Police revolver ~
The Colt New Police was manufactured from 1896 to 1907 by Colt’s Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. The sights on the revolver were fixed with a round blade in front and a grooved rear sight. The revolver was available with a 2 1⁄2-inch, four-inch, or six-inch barrel in a blued or nickel finish and hard rubber grips.
