Description

~ Circa 1860 Back Action Percussion Pistol ~

The pistol has a silver escutcheon plate as well as other silver mounts. The lock plate has foliate engraving. It is fitted with its original ramrod. The stock is of walnut and has a chequered grip and a patch box underneath. The heavy barrel is of an octagonal form with a stud fore site.

~ Condition ~

The pistol is in good order. The lock mechanism works well on half cock and full cock with a decent spring. The stock is complete with some bruising.

~ Dimensions ~

The percussion pistol is 34 cm (13 inches) in total length with a 20 cm (8 inch) barrel.
