This British 19th century artist was born in London in 1815 and died on the 25th of March 1906, in Glasgow.
He concentrated on land and water scapes in watercolours and gouache, and was a member of the Royal Watercolours Society. He exhibited in London from 1838 to 1875.

~ Condition ~
The painting is in good order. There are a few small areas of foxing and some areas of the body colour have a little oxidisation spread around them. There is also a light oxidisation stripe down the centre. The frame has minor wear.
