The watch is a top wind model.
A lever on the side at the two o’clock position lets you start and stop the seconds hand, it does not have a reset to zero facility.
The watch face is white with black roman digits. The hands are gold with a blued steel seconds hand.
The dial is named ‘JOHN RUSSEL LONDON’ under the twelve.
Between the dials VII and V is ‘SWISS MADE’.
The reverse of the gold lid case is stamped with hallmarks ‘9’, ‘.375’, ‘t’ and ‘U’ (meaning that was imported into the UK and stamped with the London Assay Office import mark).
It is also marked ‘GS’ and with serial ‘16122’.
The inside dust cover is gold plated.
The case edges have floral decorations.

The diameter of the watch is 5.2cm (2.1 inches). It weighs 101g.
~ Condition ~
The case is in very good order, the back plate hinge is stiff, if you wish to open it up do not apply much force and rock it backwards and forwards gently. There is minor wear as is to be expected.
The face is very clean with no cracks.
It’s running perfectly. To adjust the time press down the catch at the one o’clock position and rotate the top wind.
