~ Eight Day Vienna Walnut Wall Clock c1900 ~
A nice example of an eight day Vienna Wall Clock dating from the early 1900’s.
The clock has a brass edged white enamel dial with black roman numerals for hours, an outer minutes ring and black hands.
It is housed in a walnut case with turned baluster columns to either side with carved foliate motifs at their bases.
It has glazed panels to both front and sides
The clock has a single weight driven eight day movement.
The clock is unnamed.
It is complete with winding key.
~ Dimensions ~
The clock measures 37cm (14 ½ inches) wide, 94cm (37 inches) in height and is 18cm (7 inches) deep.
It weighs 9.14 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The clock is missing a finial to the underside and has a few hairline cracks to the dial and to an enamel panel below the weight.
The clock appears to have been touched up at some point with black paint to give the wood some extra definition and some of the paint has spilled over to the top edge of the frame above the front glazed panel.
The case has a few minor scratches and chips but no major damage.
Aside from these small imperfections the clock is in a nice condition with good proportions. It has been fully serviced and keeps good time.
