Original deactivated World War 1 Colt M1 1911 pistol and holster for sale with serial number 179865 dated to 1917. This pistol is a very early version of the famous Colt pistol that has gone on to gain prominence and notoriety throughout the 20th century. The leather holster that accompanies the pistol is of the period also.
*Condition*
Despite being an early version of the pistol, the Colt and holster is in very good condition. The pistol is able to cock but not dry fire. The wooden pistol grip is remarkable still in good condition. There is only slight patina on the barrel that is reflective of its age. The leather holster can hold the pistol perfectly and there is only minor cracking. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
