~ German Third Reich Luftwaffe Sheepskin Lined Brown Leather Flying Helmet c1940 ~

Size 61. By Neumann & Zeymer.  A basic helmet without provision for internal avionics used by crews who didn’t need radio equipment or those in training.  Suitable for 3-strap oxygen masks having flat hooks to either side and an integral forehead strap.

~ Condition ~

This  one is in brown goatskin leather lined in lambskin fleece.  The leather is soft and supple with little obvious wear.  The lining has minor soiling and wear forehead.  Metal components of the helmet have some surface marking and corrosion but overall this is in lovely lightly used condition.   As Pictured
