~ Oil On Board Of ‘Shipping Off Flushing’ Netherlands By Claes Claesz Wou, c.1630 ~

This is a very atmospheric oil painting depicting a ships on the dark sea. The oil has been painted on wooden panel and framed in a dark wooden frame.

The frame is signed: SHIPPING OFF FLUSHING CLAES WOU 1592 AMSTERDAM 1663.

~ Dimensions~

The frame measures approximately 34 inches (86.25cm) wide by 24.5 inches (62.25cm) tall and 1.75 inches (4.5cm) deep.
The frame measures approximately 27.25 inches (69cm) wide by 18 inches (46cm) tall. Total weight is 5.2 kg.

~ Condition ~

The painting is in decent condition. There are some surface marks to the frame but overall, good condition for its age.
