~ Old Spec Hotchkiss M1922 Machine Gun Turkish Contract Version ~
The Hotchkiss M1922 was used with great success by the Greek Army during the Greco-Italian War to fight against the Royal Italian Army. It was also used by the Chinese Nationalist Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War to fight against the Japanese Imperial Army and was frequently used by the Nationalists and, in small numbers, the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War. The Hotchkiss M1922 was also extensively used in the Battle of France (May - June 1940), and many fell into the hands of the German Army after Dunkirk and the Armistice. It is quite unique to find one (as we have it) in such a good condition.
The machine gun has several inscriptions in French and Turkish, including the French arsenal number 6424, made by the Brevete small arms factory in 1937. It is noted that this machine gun has all matching numbers. It also features a crisp Turkish Crest.
