~ Sheffield 1939 Silver Cigarette Case HMS Port Arthur ~
The case is lined with cedar wood and has engine turned decoration.
The front is engraved Sub Lieutenant R. F. Walker R.N.V.R (for Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve) by the Officers Of H.M.S. “Royal Arthur” 12.7.40.
It is hallmarked for Sheffield, 1939 and has a makers mark of W & H.
HMS Port Arthur was, in 1940, a Royal Navy ‘stone frigate’ used to train ‘Hostilities Only’ communications officers and ratings.
~ Condition ~
There are a few dings here and there but it is in generally good order and closes tightly.

The case is 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) wide, 9 cm (3 inches) deep and it stands 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) tall.
