~ 1805 Georgian Silver Christening Mug ~
A lovely small George III christening mug of silver dated 1805.
The mug is of tapering cylindrical form with a single handle.
It has banded decoration round the circumference and decorative engraved borders top and bottom.
It has an engraved monogram to the front bearing the initials ‘JR’ in a wreath
The mug has a gilt finish to the interior.
The mug is hallmarked for London silver, 1805 and has a makers mark of ‘SA’.

The mug has a base diameter of 5.7cm (2 ¼ inches) and a height of 6.6cm (2 ⁵⁄₈ inches)
It weighs 103g.
~ Condition ~
The mug has a couple of reasonably deep scratches, a dent to the base and some wear to the interior finish. Otherwise the mug is in a very nice
condition for its age with no major damage or repair.
