~ Silver Three Piece Tea Set c1920’s ~
A lovely silver three piece tea set comprising of a teapot, a sugar bowl and a milk jug.
The pieces are of bulbous form with ribbed detailing to the upper half and rope style edging with flowers to the upper rims.
The handles on each piece are of an angular form, with the sugar bowl and milk jug having silver handles while the teapot has a wooden handle.
The teapot has a hinged lid with wooden finial.
Each sits on four bun feet.
All three pieces are fully hallmarked for Sheffield silver with a makers mark of ‘JD&S’ for James Dixon & Sons Ltd.
The teapot and milk jug are dated for 1930 while the sugar bowl is dated 1922.
The underneath of each piece is stamped ‘A203’ along with a registration no. of ‘591199’.
~ Dimensions ~
The teapot measures 28cm (11 inches) from handle to spout and has a height of 14cm (5 ½ inches).
The sugar bowl measures 15cm (6 inches) across the handles and has a height of 9cm (3 ½ inches).
The milk jug measures 12cm (4 ¾ inches) from handle to spout with a height of 9cm (3 ½ inches).
The set weighs 850g.

The set is in a very nice condition with only minimal wear and no damages.
