Description

*Stunning, German, Imperial Prussian, Hunting Knife with Eagle Head and Scabbard*

25.8cm curved blade, 37.5 overall

German, Imperial Prussian, Hunting Knife with Eagle and Lion/Tiger detail to handle.

With curved blade double-edged at the point, white metal cross guard comprising headed slightly recurved quillons, fitted with a ring for a knuckle-chain (not present) between the upturned quillon and the mouth of the eagles head pommel. With bone grip with inlaid copper wire, the whole contained in original black leather scabbard with white metal chape and suspension mounts.

*Condition*

This is in excellent condition with some minor discolouration to the blade. The scabbard fits securely. Minor marks to the scabbard commensurate with age. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
