~ Victorian Gilt Iron 8 day striking wall clock ~
The clock is decorated with a gilt finish and features an aneroid barometer (by J.J. Wain Wright & Co. Birmingham) with a thermometer to the middle.
The clock face is plain, with a key wind-up to the left and right side, using roman numerals. The clock and barometer can be removed from the body for easy maintenance.
The clock runs wells and strikes sweetly on the hour and the half.
The barometer is in good working order as is the thermometer.
~ Dimensions ~
The piece has a length of 26 inches (66cm).
The clock face had a diameter of 5.5 inches (14cm). The barometer has a diameter of 4 inches (10.25cm).
It weighs 4.45kg.
~ Condition ~
There is a small scratch on the glass of the barometer but the piece is in an otherwise excellent condition, with barely any wear to the gilt. A fine example.
