This is an original piece which would have been fitted to the muzzle of the main armament. It is a circular wooden crest depicts a black swan on a white background.
~ HMS Liverpool (C11) ~
HMS Liverpool (C11) was a Town-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy in service from 1939 – 1952. During the Second World War she gained four battle honours and was seriously damaged in two attacks by Italian torpedo bombers. The cruiser operated variously with the naval stations in the East Indies and China and with the Mediterranean and Home Fleets. She was sold for scrap in July 1958.
