Brass vase engraved with a poppy and the words ‘Guerre 1939, 1945’.
Soldiers and prisoners of war created trench art using the remnants and secondary materials of wartime, providing a window not only into their sentiments and thoughts regarding the conflict but also shedding light on their environment and the resources at their disposal.
