~ Vintage 18ct Gold Cased Otis Chronograph Suisse Wristwatch ~
A lovely circa 1940 18ct gold Swiss made mechanical chronograph watch named Otis.
The watch has a silvered dial with gold tone arabic numeral and arrow head hour markers and gold tone hands.
There are two numbered outer timing rings and two subsidiary dials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions.
The dial is named ‘OTIS’ and also reads Antimagnetic, Chronographe, Suisse’.
The dial is housed in an 18ct gold case and bezel. The caseback is marked for 18ct gold with a partial assay mark.
The watch has a 17 jewel mechanical movement covered with an inner brass metal cover. The dial is not named.
The watch comes on a textured leather strap with a stainless steel Patek Phillipe flip clasp.
~ Dimensions ~
The watch measures across the bezel 36mm with a dial diameter of 33mm.
It weighs 60g.
~ Condition ~
The dial is reasonably clean with only some light discolouration round the outer edge,
The 18ct gold case has a few marks/scratches and a couple of small dents to one edge. But is in a generally decent condition overall
with no real damage.
The crystal has a single scratch, quite light and not too obvious.
The strap and claps are in good order.
The watch is in good working order.
