~WW1 Stokes 3-inch mortar Smoke Bomb~

The Stokes mortar was a British trench mortar designed by Sir Wilfred Stokes KBE that was issued to the British and U.S. armies, as well as the Portuguese Expeditionary Corps, during the latter half of the First World War.  11,131 had been produced by the end of 1918.

The Mortar bomb is 18.5 inches long and 3.2 inches wide.

*Condition*

The Mortar Bomb is in good condition with some surface rust on the fuze and percussion cap. The Fuze and end cap can be unscrewed with ease.
