~ Royal Fusiliers Cross Belt Plate ~
This brass plate depicts the Royal Fusiliers badge, an exploding grenade with the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom at the centre. The reverse is stamped with initials “SSE” & the date “1980”, and the number “CN 1451, Garmin & Sons London”.
The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) was a line infantry regiment of the British Army in continuous existence for 283 years. It was known as the 7th Regiment of Foot until the Childers Reforms of 1881.

A fair amount of wear & scratching to the front. The etchings at the back remain visible & in good order.
