~ Victorian 1871 Pattern 1st Life Guards Officers Helmet ~
The helmet has a silvered skull, gilt fittings and a white horse hair plume.
~ Condition ~
Please refer to the images for the condition. The liner is worn with much loss. The skull is excellent, no major dings, just a small, short scare on the rear right hand side. The enamel is complete, the rest of the badge tidy. There is some loss to the leather on the inside of the front and rear visors. The velvet backing on the chinscales is a later replacement. The plume is in good order too.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet is 43 cm (17 inches) tall.
