Description

~ Excellent Example 1886 Enfield Mk IV Martini-Henry .577 Cal. Rifle from Siam ~

This is a splendid historical piece, very well preserved, which served both the British armed forces and the colonial forces in Siam.

The stock but is filled with rack and regimental marks, proof marks and serial numbers.

The barrel is also stamped with a series of Victorian Enfield inspector’s marks.

The right side of the mechanism box is marked with “VR beneath the Crown, Enfield 1886, broad arrow beneath the crown and IV. 1.”

~ Condition ~

The bore is nice and clean, with very good rifling.

The rifle cocks and fires as indented with ease.

The woodwork has minor age related marks but its overall condition is excellent.
The metalwork preserves its blueing.
