~ Circa 1840 Mahogany Striking Double Fusee Bracket Clock By M. Ketterer Of Portsea ~
A lovely quality English mahogany mantle clock by M. Ketterer of Portsea, Portsmouth.
The clock has white enamel dial with Roman numerals, an outer minutes ring and two black steel hands.
The dial reads ‘M. Ketterer, Portsea’.
The dial has a brass edged hinged glazed door to the front.
The clock is housed in a polished mahogany case with four flattened ball feet.
It has carved foliate and scroll decoration in relief to the front, both above and below the dial.
The clock has brass latticed windows either side and a glazed door to the reverse.
The clock has a double fuse movement striking on the hour.
The clock is complete with keys.

The clock measures 33cm (13 inches) wide, 16cm (6 ¼ inches) deep and ha a height of 39.5cm (15 ½ inches).
It weighs 7.4kg.
~ Condition ~
The clock has been serviced and is in excellent working order.
The clock has a small chip to one of the sides but otherwise has very minimal wear and is overall in a very nice condition.
The lock for the dials glazed door is not in working order.
